Selected project experience includes:


Project: Tollgate Village, Colchester
Client: Tollgate Partnership

ITL provided highways and transportation advice to support a planning application for the provision of a retail led mixed use scheme on land north and south of Tollgate West, Stanway, Colchester.  The submission included a Transport Assessment, including analysis of junction 26 of the A12 Trunk Road, and a Travel Plan.  Expert witness services were provided at the planning appeal for the project and then, following the grant of planning permission, ITL produced detailed highway design drawings of the section 278 works associated with the scheme including an LTN1/20 compliant cycle improvement scheme.

Project: Various Free School Projects across England
Client: McAvoy

ITL produced Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plan reports as necessary in conjunction with in the order of 20 free school projects across England.  Commissions included a a mixture of complete new build proposals as well as extensions to existing schools.  Locations included London, Newcastle, Wolverhampton and Poole in Dorset.

Project: Holland Road, Clacton-on-Sea
Client: R Giles

Production of Flood Risk Assessment with integral drainage strategy for 11.5 hectare site for approximately 200 residential units.  Advising design team about broad layout options and their impacts on drainage and flooding matters to produce an efficient design with less land take and including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).

Project: Developments in Essex and Hertfordshire
Client: Sonebond Property

Production of detailed design of highways and drainage arrangements for two residential developments.  Activities included agreeing S278 designs with the LHA, S104 and S106 agreements with the relevant water authority and Section 50 agreement for works in the highway.  In addition, ITL agreed drainage arrangements with the LLFAs, including the exploration of various options to overcome their concerns.

Project: Polegate, East Sussex
Client C & P Vine

ITL prepared transport related planning documents for this residential led mixed-use scheme, of 700 dwellings, 8,500 sqm of employment space, a primary school, healthcare centre and local community facility.  Subsequently supporting the design team in taking the scheme to the Planning Inspectorate when the Council did not determine the application including preparing evidence and highway case for the public inquiry and appearing at the inquiry in the role of expert highway witness.
